Inspiring creators who love tech

In the lead up to International Women’s Day, JOURNEY shines a light on some inspiring women helping the tech industry realise its potential.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a major global event today, but did you know it’s actually more than 100 years’ old?

The very first International Women’s Day, which took place in 1911, originated out of labour movements in North America and Europe. That year, the day was a mix of meetings and protests, and the largest street demonstration attracted 30,000 women.

IWD, which we have been celebrating every March 8 since, recognises the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, while doubling as a call-to-action event focused on women’s equality.

In 2023, one of its key missions is to drive gender parity in technology, and celebrate women forging innovation in the industry.

It’s a long road, but as the industry narrows its gender gap, it diversifies its thinking and perspectives around business decisions, which benefits competition.

With that in mind, we want to introduce you to some inspirational content creators in the tech space today. You can also learn more about the creators we have recently collaborated with for tech-themed content creation.
